Social Profile Fields, are what the Club uses to classify members in the front end. In other words, the types of elements we want to track in the club (Age group, Type of Preference, or any other field you want to profile from members.

We use this to make search more relevant, and allow members to find each other on the walls and groups by these groupings in search.
